ITV3 have celebrated the very best of British comedy in this series which takes the stars back to where the comedy magic happened.

Carry On Forever was a three-part series which provided the definitive guide to the Carry On movies – a true British institution – discovering how legendary comedy moments were made by some of its greatest stars like Kenneth Williams, Sid James, Charles Hawtrey, Joan Sims and Barbara Windsor.

The series included new cast interviews with the likes of Amanda Barrie, Liz Fraser, Bernard Cribbins, Juliet Mills, Sally Geeson, June Whitfield, Shirley Eaton, Fenella Fielding and Jim Dale.

There was previously unseen behind the scenes footage, extraordinary on set photography (some unseen for over five decades), emotional trips back in time for cast members and on-location reunions.

Rising Damp Forever was a two-parter shown over Easter 2016. The documentaries were part of an entire ITV3 weekend handed over to the iconic ITV sitcom, in which the channel also broadcast all four series of the show and the big screen feature film.

The documentaries included star Don Warrington going back home to Newcastle where the comedy was first spotted as a play, and returning to the Yorkshire TV studios in Leeds to reunite with colleagues from the series, including writer Eric Chappell.

Other interviewees included Kate and Sam Beckinsale, daughters of Rising Damp star Richard Beckinsale.

Both series were narrated by Martin Clunes.
